'Pokemon Black 2' and 'White 2' players can download the legendary Genesect during launch month

"Pokemon White 2" and "Pokemone Black 2" players get exclusive access to the legendary fossil-type Genesect between October 7th and November 12th.

Pokemon Black 2 and White 2 players can get the legendary Pokemon Genesect for free via Nintendo Wi-Fi between the games' launch on October 7th and November 12th, Nintendo announced today.

Genesect, a Bug and Steel type Pokemon and the current the final entry in the Unova and National Pokedexes, is a Frakenstein-like creature revived from a 300-year-old fossil and modified with technological weapons by Black and White villains Team Plasma. It is the only Pokemon that can learn the attack Techno Blast, a move that changes elements based on the type of stat-boosting item the Pokemon holds.

Gensect was previously available only through a specific event requiring a cheat code in Pokemon Black and Pokemon White. It is also slated as the star creature of the sixteenth Pokemon movie.

Pokemon Black 2 and White 2 are coming to Nintendo DS on October 7th.
