Gearbox Software is celebrating the upcoming release of Borderlands 2's third downloadable content pack, Sir Hammerlock's Big Game Hunt, with an in-game weekend event kicking off today.
Players will be able to pick up powerful shotguns scattered throughout Pandora. To join the event, they'll need to load Borderlands 2 with an internet connection and begin looting. But guns are limited; supplies will most likely run out by 11:55 a.m. ET on Saturday, Jan. 12, Gearbox said.
Another event will begin tomorrow. Players are encouraged to check Gearbox Software at 12 p.m. ET for details.
Sir Hammerlock's Big Game Hunt is expected on Jan. 15. The DLC will include new weapons, gear, enemies and a new vehicle on the island of Aegrus.
