Assassin's Creed 3 on Wii U gets first two downloadable content packs today

Assassin's Creed 3 for Wii U gets its first round of downloadable content today when the eShop updates, The Hidden Secrets and The Battle Hardened packs, Ubisoft announced.

Players can grab The Hidden Secrets for $4.99 and The Battle Hardened for $9.99 through the Wii U eShop. Both packs are already available for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Windows PC versions of Assassin's Creed 3, but this is the first time players with the Wii U version have access to the additional content.

The Hidden Secrets pack includes three missions totaling one hour of additional gameplay: "Ghost of War," "Mayan Ruins" and "A Dangerous Secret." The pack also includes two costumes for use in the game's single-player campaign — the captain of the ship Aquila's uniform and traditional Colonial Assassin garb — as well as the Redcoat and Sharpshooter multiplayer characters.

The Battle Hardened pack adds the Coyote Man, Governor and Highlander multiplayer characters and three new multiplayer maps: Charlestown, Fort St-Mathieu and Saint Pierre

Ubisoft also stated that future downloadable content will include The Tyranny of King Washington, the episodic three-part single-player campaign following an alternate history in which George Washington crowns himself King of America.
