Super Hexagon now available for Android, launched at 99 cents

Indie game developer Terry Cavanagh has released the Android port of Super Hexagon, his high-speed, polygon-navigating action game, through the Google Play store.

Super Hexagon for Android is available at a launch sale price of $0.99. Cavanagh writes on the distractionware blog, "We've done lots and lots of testing and fixing to make this work well on as many Android devices as possible, but of course, on a wide a platform as Android, bugs are inevitable."

The Android port of the title — first released as the Flash game Hexagon and later ported to iOS and PC as Super Hexagon — was previously held up by a bug related to Nexus 7 hardware.

Super Hexagon was recently named as a finalist in the Independent Game Festival 2013 awards. The game is nominated for "Excellence in Design."
