Capcom introduces the Black Diablos of Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate players will encounter flying wyverns called Black Diablos, Capcom revealed via its blog.

Players should be wary of Black Diablos, which are female Diablos that change their color during the mating season. They're aggressive creatures that will burrow underground before surfacing for a vicious attack, and their counter-attacks will hit players from behind.

"At first there's no real safe way to approach it, but keep your eyes peeled and you'll see an opening here and there," Capcom advised. Sonic bombs will be a handy tool for hunters.

The company continues to roll out new monsters and weapons leading up to the game's March release. Other foes include Plesioth, Volvidon and Nargacuga, while hammer and sword and shield weapons have also been detailed.

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate is available now for pre-order on Wii U and Nintendo 3DS.
