FitStar Labs launching iPad app featuring NFL player Tony Gonzalez

FitStar Labs will launch its first fitness app for the iPad, FitStar: Tony Gonzalez, featuring the future NFL Hall-of-Famer.

The app is video-based, and users can attach their iPad to a TV to run it. Because the app adjusts to its user, Gonzalez acts as a personal trainer and moves at a rate suited to individual specifications. Users can choose a fitness goal based on lifestyle, general conditioning or weight loss.

"To have Tony on board as our first FitStar trainer with his unparalleled experience and knowledge of maintaining a healthy lifestyle integrated into the FitStar app is huge," Mike Maser, CEO of FitStar, said. "An NFL legend and overall health and fitness guru, Tony has deep expertise in training regimens, nutrition and all-around fitness techniques, all of which he brings to our platform."

FitStar: Tony Gonzalez will launch in the spring. You can watch the teaser above.
