Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy, Raven Software's first- and third-person action game featuring a lightsaber-wielding Padawan protagonist, launched on Mac earlier this week on Steam and in the Mac App Store for $9.99.

The game, which LucasArts originally released on Windows PC and Xbox in September 2003, was ported to Mac by Aspyr Media; it requires at least Mac OS X Lion to run. The Steam version supports Steam Play, so owners of the PC version on Steam can play the Mac version for free.

Jedi Academy includes a single-player campaign in which the player can customize the appearance of Jedi trainee Jaden Korr and choose the light or dark side of the Force. Six online multiplayer modes are also available.
