Crysis 3 beta multiplayer tutorial shows off Hunter, Crash Site modes

Producer Mike Reed introduces viewers to two of the eight playable multiplayer modes in the latest Crysis 3 video.

Hunter Mode is a survival-based competition. Two players begin as hunters tracking down troops. As troops are killed, they respawn as hunters. Eventually, only one troop is left to survive against a horde of hunters.

Crash Site is a team mode. Two groups of eight must find, capture and defend different pods. Eventually, the old pods will destruct and players must search for new pods deployed at random locations. The team with the most points after 10 minutes, or the first team to reach 150 points, wins.

The multiplayer beta, as demonstrated by the video above, includes two maps to explore. When released Crysis 3 will support multiplayer of up to 12 people on consoles and 16 on PC.

Crysis 3 launches for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Windows PC Feb. 19. Check out the tutorial above.
