Sci-fi MMO shooter Defiance will launch on April 2, developer Trion Worlds announced today.
Defiance will be available on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Windows PC two weeks before the April 15 debut of its tie-in television show on the Syfy Channel.
Trion Worlds made the announcement via the live-action trailer posted above, which shows several of the franchise's Ark Hunter characters locked in confrontation on a windy desert. The trailer is an extended version of the "Join the Fight" video released last week.
Defiance will be available both digitally and physically and is currently available for pre-order both online and at participating retailers. Buyers can choose between a $59.99 Standard Edition containing additional weapons and stat boosts or the $99.99 Deluxe edition, which includes more bonuses such as a collector's outfit, the Hydra rocket launcher weapon and an extra 30-day XP boost.
