Dance Magic coming to PlayStation Network on Jan. 8

Dance Magic, an upcoming rhythm game from Russian development studio Targem Games, is coming to North America exclusively on PlayStation Network starting Jan. 8, publisher Gaijin Entertainment announced.

The PlayStation Move-supported title features 20 songs and seven dance style, including hip hop, disco and break dancing. Additional songs can be purchased on the PlayStation Store.

In Dance Magic, players attempt to fight evil by creating a strange biological energy that can only be realized through dance. According to the title's slightly odd synopsis, Dance Magic imagines a world where "the smallest personal disagreement to widespread military conflicts" can be resolved through dancing duels. Players can also accessorize their characters to provide them with special abilities during these duels.

Targem Games previously developed the space warfare title Planets Under Attack.
