Gallery Nucleus and Blizzard holding The Art of Blizzard book launch and art exhibition Jan. 12

Blizzard and Gallery Nucleus will hold an art exhibition in Alhambra, Calif. from Jan. 12 to Feb. 3 to celebrate the launch of The Art of Blizzard Entertainment, the game maker's new hardcover art book due later this month.

Gallery Nucleus will hold an opening reception on Saturday, Jan. 12 from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. featuring more than 50 pieces from Blizzard artists, including concept art from Diablo, StarCraft and Warcraft games. The gallery will sell advance copies of the 376-page art book, which includes more than 700 illustrations from Blizzard artists.

The opening reception will feature Blizzard artists in attendance and requires a $5 entrance fee. Dedicated Blizzard fans in costume will be admitted free.

Published by Insight Editions, The Art of Blizzard Entertainment retails for $74.95 and is due for release on Jan. 29, according to retailers Amazon and Barnes and Noble.
