Watch Dead Space 3 players talk to the game with Kinect commands

Dead Space 3 will be the first game to support Kinect voice commands in co-op play, according to executive producer Steve Papoutsis of Visceral Games, the narrator of an overview video released today by publisher Electronic Arts.

Players will be able to shout at their TV for actions such as navigation ("find objective"), combat ("quick heal"), items ("access inventory") and keeping track of their buddy ("find partner"). Papoutsis also said last month that Dead Space 3 will include hidden voice commands triggered by shouting expletives in certain situations.

The last time we played Dead Space 3, the Kinect commands were only working about half the time, so we're hoping the final game will feature a better implementation of the technology.

Dead Space 3 is set for release on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Windows PC on Feb. 5.
