Assassin's Creed 3 Battle Hardened Pack reportedly coming Jan. 8

Assassin's Creed 3 will receive its second piece of add-on content, the Battle Hardened Pack, tomorrow on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, reports EGMnow.

The Battle Hardened Pack includes three new playable characters for Assassin's Creed 3's multiplayer mode — the Governor, the Highlander and Coyote Man — and three extra multiplayer maps: Charlestown, Fort St-Mathieu and Saint Pierre.

Season pass owners will be able to download the content at no additional cost; it will sell for 800 Microsoft Points on the Xbox Live Marketplace and $9.99 on the PlayStation Store. According to EGMnow, the DLC will be available for Windows PC players next week; no release date is available on Wii U.

Prior to Assassin's Creed 3's launch last October, Ubisoft announced five planned add-on packs for the 18th-century action title. The first DLC, the Hidden Secrets Pack, was released in December.

Update: According to Ubisoft, the Battle Hardened Pack will launch on PC Jan. 15.
