Sega's iconic blue hedgehog is back for another round of Super Smash Bros., Nintendo president Satoru Iwata announced today during a Nintendo Direct presentation.
Sonic the Hedgehog will reprise his appearance in Nintendo's brawler franchise for Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS. The "blue blur," as Iwata referred to him, will appear alongside Princess Peach, Mario, Luigi and Toon Link, as well as series newcomers the Animal Crossing Villager, Wii Fit Trainer and Mega Man.
Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS will launch next year. The game was announced at E3 2013.
