Frictional Games has released a teaser trailer and first details about its next game.
SOMA is Frictional’s new sci-fi tease
The Swedish developer — best known for Amnesia: The Dark Descent — has updated its next project page with information about a project called SOMA. The trailer and some scant textual background tell of a spooky sci-fi artifact that looks like a really old TV screen that's mixed itself up with some steampunk-style pumps, levers and wires. Unwisely, an engineer decides to fiddle with the device.
The fictional file on the SOMA website is 'Vivarium,' a name for an environment set up to study particular life-forms. More clues are available at the teaser site.
