Zelda: A Link Between Worlds trailer introduces a new face of evil
A new evil has arisen in the land of Hyrule in the form of a wicked sorceress who possesses the power to turn people into two-dimensional paintings. Our protagonist Link obtains this power for himself, and turns it against her; some of the power’s uses for movement and puzzle-solving are shown in the trailer.
The power gives Link the ability to travel to a dark mirror world called Lorule, similar to the Light World/Dark World split in the original SNES title A Link to the Past.
The trailer also pits Link against a dark, shadowy figure at the end, though the figure’s identity remains unknown. (Just kidding, it’s Ganon. It’s always Ganon.)
A Link Between Worlds hits Nintendo 3DS on Nov. 22.
