New Fast and Furious mobile game coming from Kabam

Mobile publisher Kabam is working with Universal Pictures on a new mobile game based on the upcoming Fast and Furious film, the companies announced today.

The tie-in game to the film Fast and Furious 7 — which will be released in theaters on July 11, 2014 — will be published for smartphones and tablets. In the movie, iconic trio Vin Diesel, Paul Walker and Dwayne Johnson lead a cast of new and returning characters on the latest adventure.

Kabam published Fast and Furious 6: The Game this past May through the iTunes App Store and Google Play for iOS and Android. According to a press release, the game brought in 17 million players during its first month, with over 33 million players downloading the game since launch.

“The Fast and Furious franchise is a global phenomenon that continues to evolve as the scale of the films grow bigger with each new release,” president of Kabam Studios Andrew Sheppard said in a press statement. “Kabam is proud to continue to collaborate with Universal on such a fun and mass-appeal franchise to develop a new mobile game that progresses with the same ambition of the series.”
