A new trailer for Tales of Xillia 2 introduces our hero, a young girl under his protection and a magical pocket watch.
A train ride goes terribly wrong in Tales of Xillia 2 trailer
Ludger Will Kresnik finds himself protecting a young girl named Elle and entrusts her with a special pocket watch. When the two are attacked by a terrorist organization called Exodus, the watch helps Ludger awaken special powers.
The rest of the trailer briefly shows some of the other major characters in the game, which takes place a year after the events in the first Tales of Xillia.
In Polygon’s review of the first game, we found that it embraced JRPG cliches and stereotypes but somehow managed to be enjoyable nonetheless.
Tales of Xillia 2 will hit PlayStation 3 in North America and Europe some time next year.
