A batch of fresh screenshots from Super Mario 3D World shows what Nintendo has in store for Mario’s next 3D adventure, including intriguing new variations on classic Mario foes and items.
Fresh Super Mario 3D World screens show off cat powers, sand Goombas, Kuribo’s skate and more

The shots also highlight some of the antics Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach and Toad will get up to, like absconding with Koopa shells — leaving them half-naked — and engaging in battles with Goombas while wearing oversized ice skates. Some of the images also highlight what some of the improved lighting and effects in Super Mario 3D World look like, including a dripping wet Mario and Dry Bones, as well as glowing lava-filled levels.
Of course, if you’re here for screens of Mario and crew wearing cat suits, Nintendo has released those in spades.
Super Mario 3D World will be released for Wii U on Nov. 22 in North America.
