Tower defense-brawler mashup CastleStorm is coming to PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita on Nov. 5, developer Zen Studios community manager Bobby Loertscher announced in a post on the PlayStation Blog.
The game will be available for $9.99 and supports cross-buy, so one purchase will net buyers the game on both systems.
CastleStorm is a 2D "super genre mashup" combining physics-based destruction mechanics, tower defense and light brawling. The game pits knights against vikings in classic medieval warfare, where heavy artillery on the ground and a catalogue of powerful spells will help players tear down enemy castles.
In addition to a story campaign, CastleStorm includes a castle editor allowing players to construct their own fortresses, as well as three different multiplayer modes: one-on-one split-screen competitive mode, survival co-op in which players fight off waves of enemies from their castle and a last stand mode that takes players on foot to the battleground below.
CastleStorm is currently available through Xbox Live Arcade and Steam for Windows PC.
