This year's BlizzCon will give attendees a look at what's coming next from Blizzard, including the latest on World of Warcraft, Diablo 3 expansion Reaper of Souls and recently rebranded MOBA Heroes of the Storm. According to convention's official schedule, it will also feature an appearance from Warcraft movie director Duncan Jones.
On Saturday, Nov. 9, Jones will join Blizzard chief creative officer Rob Pardo and senior VP of story and franchise development Chris Metzen to "discuss the thrilling collaborative process of translating Azeroth's game world to the big screen." Whether Jones will give BlizzCon attendees a peek at the Warcraft teaser trailer from San Diego Comic-Con remains to be seen.
Friday will offer a more detailed look at Blizzard's upcoming games. For Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls, Blizzard promises "a deeper, darker look at what's coming in the Diablo 3 expansion, as the development team reveals new details on the environments, monsters, game modes, features and more." Blizzard announced earlier today that Reaper of Souls will be playable at the event on PC and PlayStation 4.
For Heroes of the Storm, Blizzard plans to give us a look at the core game mechanics, hero rosters and reward systems for the game formerly known as Blizzard All-Stars.
An update on StarCraft 2, seemingly focusing on the game's Arcade mode and multiplayer changes, is also planned. The game's next expansion, Protoss-focused Legacy of the Void, is not mentioned.
