Hot on the heels of next-gen trailers for NBA 2K14 and NBA Live 14, EA Sports' Madden NFL 25 is following suit.
Aside from showing off the Ignite Engine-powered graphics, the trailer focuses on three new features in this year's installment of the landmark football franchise. The greater power in the next-gen consoles drives the Player Sense feature, which allows individual on-screen characters to make more than 50 decisions a second apiece regarding their positioning and actions.
War in the Trenches aims to more accurately depict the moment when offensive and defensive lines clash at the line of scrimmage and the physicality of the sport as blockers try to protect the quarterback. The True Step technology, on the other hand, seeks to make the running game more natural, with changes in momentum and direction becoming more difficult the greater a player character's speed.
Madden NFL 25 is currently available on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360; our review found that it was a game that capably catered "to feature junkies and casual fans alike." The next-gen version of the game will be a launch title for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
