Watch Naughty Dog creative director's The Last of Us postmortem

Naughty Dog creative director and writer Neil Druckmann took to the stage at IGDA Toronto recently to give a postmortem on The Last of Us, and the video of that talk is now available online.

Press play above to watch Druckmann's spoiler-filled keynote, in which he begins by discussing how Naughty Dog's The Last of Us team began with the goal of rebooting Jak and Daxter and even shows some concept art from that period.

Druckmann moves on to discuss the iterations of The Last of Us' story and talks about its evolution. A Q&A follows the scripted content about 42 minutes into the nearly hour and 20 minute keynote, covering everything from Ellie's reactions to Joel's violence to how the developer pulled off the game's ending in the face of opposition.

For more on the evolution of The Last of Us, you can watch a video of the game's alternate ending, which was first shown at a PAX Prime panel earlier this year.
