Lone Survivor: The Director's Cut launches Oct. 31 for Windows PC and Mac

Lone Survivor: The Director's Cut, Jasper Byrne's survival horror game, will launch on Windows PC and Mac Oct. 31, Byrne announced on the studios' website.

The title will be distributed via Good Old Games with more distribution avenues expected to be announced at a later date. A price has not yet been set for the title, although those who own the original game will receive The Director's Cut for free or for $0.01 if purchased with the Humble Bundle.

Save game files of the original version, which launched on Windows PC and Mac via Steam early last year, are compatible with The Director's Cut, allowing players to switch versions at any point.

Initially set for release in July, Lone Survivor: The Director's Cut launched on the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita Sept. 24 with cross-buy and cross-save features. For its console release, the game was rebuilt by London-based Curve Studios, the developer of water-based physics puzzler Fluidity and 2.5D platformer Explodemon.
