20th Century Fox filed a trademark for a project called Alien: Isolation. No details yet, though The Creative Assembly has been quietly working on a new Alien project for next-gen systems.
The gaming industry is all Britney and not enough Pink Floyd, according to Oddworld CEO Lorne Lanning. According to Lanning, games need to deliver more complex content above par of pop — which “evaporates from the history books more quickly.”
BioShock Infinite Creator Ken Levine is working to build replayable games through emergent narrative and characters that react to external forces. Speaking with us at Gaming Insiders Conference in San Francisco, he used Infinite’s Elizabeth and her narrative variations as an example.
