The newest trailer for Mario’s latest excursion doesn’t show off much that’s new, but rather goes over everything Nintendo has shown up to this point.
Super Mario 3D World trailer gives a comprehensive overview
Bowser is up to mischief again, and it’s up to the Mario Bros, Toad and Princess Peach to stop him. Each member of the quartet has different strengths: Luigi can jump higher, Peach can float, Toad can run faster and Mario is a well-rounded middle.
The trailer shows powerups both new (Double Mario, Cat Suit) and old (Fire Flower, Tanooki Suit) as well as the various blocks the characters can equip on their heads to shoot cannonballs and generate coins.
Also in the trailer are Nintendo’s various nods to online play: A “Ghost Mii” that shows your friends’ best times and quickest routes through the stages, and collectible stamps that players can use in their Miiverse messages.
Super Mario 3D World is out on Nov. 22 in North America and Nov. 29 in Europe.
