Developer Broken Rules launched an Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign for Secrets of Rætikon alongside the game's alpha this week.

"We want to finish the game with YOU instead of turning to a publisher," the Indiegogo page reads. "In return, we open our development. By 'open' we mean that we will share our assets and tools that we use to create the game. That includes the level editor which is already included in the first tier."

Pledges beginning at $10 will grant donors a Steam key and access to the alpha. As of this writing, the developers have raised $1,315 of the $40,000 goal. The campaign, which will receive all funds raised even if it does not reach its goal, will end Nov. 22, 2013 at 2:59 p.m. ET.

Broken Rules has been working on Secrets of Rætikon since 2011. The game, which the Vienna-based developer said is inspired by "the kind of flight that one experiences in dreams," is in development for Linux, Mac and Windows PC and planned for a Q1 2014 release. You can see its latest trailer above.

Broken Rules' previous game, Chasing Aurora, was released for Wii U in November 2012.
