Boogerman Kickstarter adds Earthworm Jim

The 20th anniversary reboot of 2D platformer Boogerman will include a two-player co-op mode featuring fellow retro star Earthworm Jim, developer Toy Ghost LLC announced via Kickstarter.

Earthworm Jim and the game's co-op are available as an optional pledge tier. Content will be automatically included at the $40 level, while those who wish to add the content later for an additional cost need only pledge at the $12 level. The add-on also features exclusive new levels.

Earthworm Jim starred in his own series of side-scrolling action platformers in the '90s. Players took on the role of the titular annelid, who, with the help of his robotic suit, battled strange villains.

Boogerman's funding campaign launched Oct. 16. The campaign is attempting to raise $375,000 by Nov. 20. If funded, the game will launch for Windows PC, Mac, Linux, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Xbox One and Wii U in November 2014.
