Ragnarok Odyssey ACE launching on PS3, Vita next year

Ragnarok Odyssey ACE, an expanded edition of 2012 role-playing game Ragnarok Odyssey, will launch in 2014 for PlayStation 3 and Vita, publisher Xseed Games announced today on the PlayStation Blog.

Both versions will cost $39.99, and the Vita version will ship with a soundtrack CD featuring 25 tracks from the game — including a song by legendary Final Fantasy composer Nobuo Uematsu titled "Roar of the Black Dragon." Up to four players can join in co-op and the games are compatible for cross-platform play.

Players with save files from the original Vita version of Ragnarok Odyssey can import their character data and DLC to ACE. The only thing that won't transfer is character cards that have been equipped to pieces of clothing or were acquired through the Vita's Near feature.

Ragnarok Odyssey ACE will feature new storyline content, Trophies, quests, items and skills, as well as an additional dungeon, the 100-floor Tower of Yggdrasil. Additionally, ACE will receive game patches that launched in Japan, including patch 1.10, which hits this week. This patch adds daily quests, online rankings, log-in bonuses and both random and rare card draws. ACE will receive this and other patches as free post-launch content.
