A limited edition PlayStation 3 bundle including Gran Turismo 6 will be released in Brazil, Sony announced today at the Brazil Game Show, featuring legendary Brazilian Formula One driver Ayrton Senna.
In addition to special packaging featuring Senna's likeness and signature, the Gran Turismo 6 bundle will include 25 cars modified to enhance their racing characteristics and $1 million in in-game currency.
The announcement was part of a broader partnership between PlayStation and the Ayrton Senna Institute, the organization founded after the driver's death in 1994. A percentage of the revenue of global sales of Gran Turismo 6 will directly benefit the institute, Sony said, and the organization's efforts to help the children and young people of Brazil.
Gran Turismo creator Kazunori Yamauchi said Senna was "my greatest hero, and without him I don't think the game would have ever been created." Yamauchi said Polyphony Digital plans to release content for Gran Turismo 6 that traces the origins of Senna's racing career through online updates.
