Call of Duty: Ghosts gets four-player co-op mode, Extinction

Call of Duty: Ghosts will include a new four-player co-op mode called Extinction, and publisher Activision debuted the mode with a new trailer for the game today.

Extinction, the name of which was leaked over the weekend, pits a team of one to four soldiers against aliens that hatch from pods. You'll be defending bases from the creatures, and scavenging resources while you do so. According to the trailer's YouTube description, your team will be split into different classes that will all level up as you play Extinction. It's unclear if the Extinction progression is separate from the ranks in Ghosts' other multiplayer modes.

Call of Duty: Ghosts will be available Nov. 5 on PlayStation 3, Windows PC, Wii U and Xbox 360; Nov. 15 on PlayStation 4; and Nov. 22 on Xbox One.
