Halo: Spartan Assault, the top-down shooter released exclusively for Windows PCs and mobile devices earlier this year, is headed to Xbox 360 and Xbox One with new features this holiday season, according to a post on Halo Waypoint today.

Halo 4 developer 343 Industries and Vanguard Games are developing the downloadable game. The new console versions will include a new online co-op mode and accompanying missions, the Operation Hydra mission expansion that shipped for the original version this year and incorporate the Flood into the game for the first time. The console versions will also include new weapons, armor abilities and upgrades.
Halo: Spartan Assault launched worldwide in July for Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8 devices.
