Activision is headed to Times Square Oct. 10 to sponsor a free Skylanders Swap Force-themed “SWAPtoberfest” event, the publisher announced today.

The event will run from 3-6 p.m. at 44/45 Pedestrian Plaza, Times Square, next to the Toys R Us at 1514 Broadway.
SWAPtoberfest visitors can participate in activities, hang out with Skylanders characters and win prizes while supplies last, including a Skylanders Swap Force Starter Pack. They’ll also be able to play the game before its release. James Marsden (Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, Enchanted) will host the event alongside Zach Gordon (Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Pete’s Christmas).
Vicarious Visions’ Skylanders Swap Force is set for an Oct. 13 North American release on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii, Wii U and Nintendo 3DS. It will arrive in Australia Oct. 16, in Europe Oct. 18 and on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One at their launches worldwide. Check out our impressions from E3 2013 to learn more about the game.
