Ryse story trailer demands you fight for Rome

A cinematic trailer for Crytek’s Ryse: Son of Rome features the Eternal City beset by barbarians at her gates.

In the trailer, Roman soldier Marius Titus informs his emperor that while his name isn’t important, his tale of revenge is. His family has been slaughtered by barbarians, and by taking the battle to them he can avenge them and protect his beloved Rome simultaneously.

The rest of the trailer offers glimpses at some of the characters as well as plenty of bloody action.

Ryse: Son of Rome will launch alongside the Xbox One on Nov. 22.
