Carbine's science fiction massively-multiplayer online game WildStar will go into beta this winter, according to an announcement on the game's website.
Applications to take part in the beta are still being accepted. Upon applying, applicants will be sent a survey to fill out. Carbine encourages applicants to fill it out as accurately as possible to increase their chances of being invited into the beta.
WildStar takes place on the fictional planet Nexus, where a mysterious and powerful race known as the Eldan has disappeared and left behind technology and secrets for the player to explore. Players can undertake quests, explore dungeons, take part in player versus player combat and roam the persistent open-world of the game.
When the game launches, it will require its players to pay a subscription to access the game, but players also have the option of purchasing game time using the title's in-game currency.
