The current free trial and sale of ArenaNet's massively multiplayer online role-playing game, Guild Wars 2, has been extended until Sunday, Oct. 6 at 2:59 a.m. ET, the game's developer announced.
The seven-day free trial period, which began Sept. 27 and originally scheduled to end today, is open to all players in North America and Europe. Players can register for free trial accounts on the Guild Wars 2 website. Under the sale extension, players can purchase the Digital Heroic Edition for $39.99 from the Guild Wars 2 online store.
Design lead Mike Zadorojny explained at the Eurogamer Expo how and why the developer will release new Guild Wars 2 content every two weeks. Dedicated to the idea of a "living world," ArenaNet want to create a universe where players experience something new every time they log on.
