Spaceship design game Defect SDK will be partly funded by Australian government

The Australian government is partnering with games studio Three Phase Interactive to partly fund a new spacecraft construction title Defect SDK, the studio announced in a recent trailer for the game.

The game will use a tile-based construction system that will allow players to assemble a ship and then explore the galaxy while hunting weaker spacecrafts. Once your ship is strong enough, the craft’s crew can betray you and keep the ship for themselves. Players are then challenged with iterating on their earlier spacecraft design and hunt them down.
