Cloud-based Pro Evo Soccer 2014 coming to TVs, set top boxes in Korea

The latest entry in the Konami's soccer franchise, Pro Evolution Soccer 2014, already released on consoles and PC, is also coming to set-top boxes and smart TVs in Korea, cloud gaming company Ubitus announced today.

The service will be available through Ubitus' partnership with LG Uplus, a South Korean telecom company. Through the gaming cloud partnership, players will be able to play PES 2014 on certain devices without the need to download or install it. Google TV set top box and LG Smart TV owners will be the first to get access to the game.

It's unclear if Pro Evolution Soccer 2014 will be available via cloud streaming outside of South Korea. We've contacted the developer for comment and will update accordingly.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2014, also known as Winning Eleven 2014, is the first title to run on Kojima Productions' Fox Engine. The game launched for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Windows PC and other platforms in September. For more on the game's engine, check out our interview with Konami's Timothy Blair.
