Freedom Cry, planned downloadable content for Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag, will star Adewale, a former slave and protagonist Edward Kenway's second-in-command, Ubisoft confirmed today.
Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag’s DLC and season pass detailed
The DLC takes place after Adewale earned his freedom aboard Kenway’s Jackdaw. The trained Assassin finds himself shipwrecked in Saint-Domingue, where he begins to assemble a crew, find a ship and is inexorably drawn toward the Maroon slave community.
This and other Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag DLC will include the Kraken Ship Pack, multiplayer characters and more for $19.99, which Ubisoft says is a 20 percent savings compared to purchasing each DLC pack individually.
Word of the DLC began circulating in late June, when a listing on retailer Best Buy’s website outed Adewale and the season pass. You can check out a trailer for the now-official content above.
