The Legend of Zelda and Pikmin cartoons coming to 3DS

Starting Nov. 1 and moving into 2014, Nintendo will launch a series of cartoon shorts based on the Pikmin franchise and The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD. Both series, along with three more third-party shows, will be available through the Nintendo 3DS' Nintendo Video app, which is free to download for all players.

FAA approves electronics use for duration of flights

The Federal Aviation Administration will relax restrictions on the use of electronic devices "during all phases of flight," and passengers will soon be able to do things like listen to music and play video games during their trips "with limited exceptions." Airlines must still prove to their agencies that their planes can handle this, and FAA expects most carriers will make this jump before the end of the year.
