Muramasa Rebirth 'Genroku Legends' DLC arriving early 2014 in North America

Muramasa Rebirth "Genroku Legends" DLC will arrive in North America for the PlayStation Vita in "early 2014," Aksys Games announced today.

The new content will introduce additional stories, new gameplay, special bosses and more. The DLC will feature four new characters, each with unique fighting styles, such as the claw-attacking Okoi and a hoe-wielding farmer called Gonbe. Beginning with "Fishy Tales of the Nekomata," Genroku Legends is comprised of four tales based on Japanese folklore.

Fishy Tales of the Nekomata is based on Okoi and her brother who journey to Edo to deliver a prized tea set to the shogun. However, Okoi’s family’s chief retainer wants the tea set for himself. Equipped with claws, Okoi can also fuse with her feline companion Miike to transform into a “formidable foe” and players can level up her abilities via a skill tree.

Muramasa Rebirth launched on June 25 for the PS Vita.
