Thor: The Dark World launches on iOS and Android

Marvel announced today the free-to-play film tie-in Thor: The Dark World, its upcoming mobile game set to launch alongside the new film of the same name.

Thor: The Dark World is playable on iPhone, iPod Touch and Android devices today on both the App Store and Google Play. The game, which is published by digital and social game publisher Gameloft, is written by well-known Marvel writer Christopher Yost.

In the game, players take on the role of Thor in his attempt to stop Malekith while fighting alongside characters from the franchise including Sif and Heimdall. Users can upgrade skills or allies and compete against friends for rewards.
