A new narrative trailer for Thief paints a gloomy picture of the city in which the game takes place.
The narrator, Basso, was once a common petty criminal in The City. He's since risen in stature and power but he knows its seedy underbelly as well as he ever has. The Gloom plague has cast a pall on The City, he says, and power-hungry guards are choking the life out of it in another way altogether.
But Basso has hope because he knows a man who has returned to The City, a man some call the Master Thief; he calls him Garrett. Perhaps, Basso wonders, Garrett can steal The City's health back.
Thief will hit current and next-gen platforms on Feb. 25.
