Friends List: Do pro-wrestling games disrespect the dead?

Chris Plante co-founded Polygon in 2012 as editor-at-large and is now editor-in-chief. He also created and occasionally teaches NYU’s Introduction to Games Journalism course.

I enjoyed WWE 2K14, but one little thing continued to gnaw on my brain: should a game about pro wrestlers acknowledge the often grim finales of their real-life story lines?

If this is your first episode, Friends List is a daily web series in which press, publishers and developers answer an important, unusual or agitating question related to video games. The goal is to give both Polygon's many team members across the globe, and those involved in covering, designing and releasing games, an opportunity to speak with you.

Today, I'm joined by Giant Bomb's Alex Navarro to answer this question: Do pro-wrestling game disrespect the dead? The episode will begin at 2:00 p.m. ET and will be available via YouTube following the recording.

Share your opinion in the comments. We'll field some questions at the end of the episode.
