2K Sports talks MyTeam in NBA 2K14 on PS4 and Xbox One

NBA 2K14's MyTeam mode will make the jump to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and publisher 2K Sports provided some details today on what developer Visual Concepts is adding to it for next-generation consoles.

MyTeam, a fantasy-team mode with digital trading cards that resembles the "Ultimate Team" modes in EA Sports titles, will feature a new Domination mode of play on PS4 and Xbox One. Domination will allow users to take their fantasy team and go up against real NBA teams and three All-Star teams. Also exclusive to the next-gen version of MyTeam are single-player and online tournaments, through which users can earn rare players and special collectibles.

Visual Concepts is also adding new levels of rarity to MyTeam: emerald and ruby, which will live above the existing bronze, silver, gold and sapphire levels. And as users rank up through star levels, they'll receive a new pack of players or items for each level they reach.
