I am a young man. I wasn't working in the industry when the PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii launched eight or so years ago. But my pal Russ Frushtick was.

If this is your first episode, Friends List is a daily web series in which press, publishers and developers answer an important, unusual or agitating question related to video games. The goal is to give both Polygon's many team members across the globe, and those involved in covering, designing and releasing games, an opportunity to speak with you.

Today, I'm joined by Executive Producer Russ Frushtick to answer this question: What's it like to cover a console launch? The episode will begin at 2:00 p.m. ET and will be available via YouTube following the recording.

Share your opinion in the comments. We'll field questions at the end of the episode.
