Xbox One being guarded by sharks ahead of launch parties

Twenty sharks at Kelly Tarlton's Sea Life Aquarium in Auckland, New Zealand are currently guarding one of the first Xbox One consoles to be sold worldwide, Stuff reports.

The next-gen console is sealed in a water resistant container insider a tank containing sand tiger sharks. It will remain there for a week as part of a PR stunt, giving the public time to view the system prior to its launch.

Microsoft announced more than 10,000 retail locations across 13 countries will serve as midnight launch locations for Xbox One. Selected events will be showcased in a live broadcast airing on Spike TV, Xbox.com and on Xbox Live. Large events are planned for major cities including New York, Los Angeles, London, Berlin, Paris, Vienna, Sao Paulo, Toronto and Sydney, while the launch officially kicks off in New Zealand.
