Three new videos from Microsoft fly through various vistas and locales in Ryse: Son of Rome to show off the game's environments.
The first video, shown above, visits Eternal Rome herself at the height of the empire's power. The streets are paved with marble and the emperor Nero observes his city from an unfathomably grand palace.
Rome stands in stark contrast to York, the Roman capital in Britannia, at the edge of the empire. Though a symbol of Roman order, York is sharply divided between its Roman lords who live in relative luxury, and the commoners who live in squalor and fear of barbarian attacks.
York, however, is a marked improvement over the final environment: the Haunted Swamps, home of the armies of Glott, the Minotaur King and dark rituals and sacrifices.
Ryse: Son of Rome will launch with the Xbox One on Nov. 22.
