Starting later this month, Capcom will hold a series of location tests for Ultra Street Fighter 4, giving fighting game enthusiasts a chance to try out the series' next iteration well before it hits consoles and arcades.
Players will be able to try out the latest balance changes coming in Ultra, as well as the new gameplay systems, including the Red Focus Attack and the Ultra Combo Double that Capcom announced last month. Four new characters will be playable — Elena, Rolento, Poison and Hugo — but apparently not the still-unannounced fifth.
The first opportunity to playtest Ultra Street Fighter 4 in North America will happen on Nov. 29 at Super Arcade in Walnut, Calif. and continue through the weekend until Dec. 1. During the weekend of Dec. 6, players can go hands-on with the game at Big E Gaming's North East Championship XIV in Essington, Penn. Another opportunity will be available at the Capcom Cup on Dec. 14 in Burlingame, Calif.
Players in Singapore will be able to location test the game at Tough Cookie Gaming Café the weekend of Dec. 20.
Street Fighter producer Yoshinori Ono said on Twitter that location test details for Japan will be posted soon. For specifics, head over to Capcom Unity for addresses and opening hours.
