Call of Duty: Ghosts developer Infinity Ward posted a message on its Twitter account today, saying that the PlayStation 4 version of the game installs its high-resolution textures in the background, and that players should give the system ample time to do so.
"To our PS4 fans, [Call of Duty: Ghosts] installs the high-res textures in the background once the disk is in your system," the developer tweeted. "We estimate it takes about 10-15 minutes. And possibly 30+ if you're playing while it's still installing. Unfortunately, there's no way to see the progress of when it's complete. Once complete, you'll see the high-res textures in-game."
A title update for Ghosts will also give players the chance to view those hi-res textures at 1080p resolution in the game's single-player campaign.
